Dear Resident
Officers and PCSOs from the East Herts Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out targeted patrols in response to reports of fly-tipping across the district. Fly-tipping was identified as the team's latest Local Policing Priority in April 2026 and will remain a focus until August 2026, when a new local priority will be selected. Since its introduction, the team has been working proactively with partners and local communities to reduce incidents, prevent environmental crime, and identify those responsible. As part of ongoing crime prevention measures, PCSOs have been installing newly printed warning signs at a number of known fly-tipping hotspots across the area. These locations have been identified through previous reports and intelligence gathered from residents. Why is tackling fly-tipping important?Fly-tipping and littering have a significant impact on our communities and environment. Please call 101 to report the incident, or 999 if the offence is taking place at the time and requires an emergency response. When making a report, please provide as much information as possible, including: By working together and reporting incidents promptly, we can help keep East Herts clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
